About Bank of York

Founded on April 11, 1935, Bank of York has proudly served our community for more than eighty years, and we are proud to be a part of the history of York County. We are heartened by the stories of those that have trusted in Bank of York for their needs over the years to build stable livelihoods and raise their families. This is all made possible by the constant growth and innovation that has been realized through the years.

Bank of York has four branches to serve the needs of our community. Our main branch is nestled in the heart of York, SC on West Liberty Street. The other three branches are strategically located around the county to offer convenience to everyone in our communities. Our other York branch, located on East Liberty Street, opened in 1973  to expand and better serve our customers needs. The bank recognized an opportunity to help the ever growing communities of Bethel and Lake Wylie and opened a third branch in 1985 located on Charlotte Highway. At fourth office was opened in 1990 and is located in Newport on Hands Mill Highway to serve the needs of Rock Hill and eastern York County communities.

Bank of York is a successful community bank built on and anchored by a dedication to our community and its residents. We specialize in serving small businesses and the people that run them – their goals, their families, and their security.

Our decisions are made locally, by people you know, and our deposits are used to make loans in our communities. Our communities have seen much growth, and Bank of York is proud to be here to grow with you. With four locations, ATMs, a seasoned loan department, knowledgeable employees, and assets exceeding $250 million, Bank of York has earned the confidence of our communities, and continues to earn it again and again every day at every level of service.
